Looks like both Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain are in fact two separate games. This misunderstanding comes from the fact that both Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain make up the story of Metal Gear Solid V. Ground Zeroes is in fact the prologue to The Phantom Pain.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been officially revealed, confirming that both upcoming titles ‘Ground Zeroes’ (Revealed by Kojima Productions) and ‘The Phantom Pain’ (Originally revealed under the fake pseudonym of Moby Dick Studios) are in fact one single game. David Hayter will not return to voice the protagonist.
The game will showcase the brand new Fox Engine that has been in development since just after Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots was released in 2008.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been confirmed for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with no release date given. Also, no Wii U or PlayStation 4 releases have been confirmed.
