Guacamelee! released in 2013 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita and has since been released on numerous consoles including PC systems, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game is an action platforming game that draws heavily on traditional Mexican folklore and culture.

Forest Del Chivo
Acoustic guitars and traditional percussion instruments play a huge part in the Guacamelee! soundtrack and these sounds are upfront and centre in the track Forest Del Chivo. There is also a blend of electronic/dance music that is featured in many of the songs.

Pueblucho is easily the more traditional sounding song in terms of its overall package. The song is a more easier and pleasant tune that is featured very early in the game.

Caverna Del Pollo
Again, guitars play an important part in this track, as well as the brass instrument and vocals. The electric synthesised parts are featured more heavily in this song as well.

Boss Theme
Immediately, the track is very familiar with its cultural guitar opening. There is a psychedelic feel to the track that plays with the traditional chord progressions in the song.
