Silver Surfer for NES is notorious for two major reasons. It’s relentless difficulty and its superb music. The classic title only features a small handful of tracks, but this small selection of music remains memorable to this day.

Title
This track is surprisingly dynamic for an 8-bit tune and sounds noticeably impressive when compared to other NES music. As a side note, you may have heard this song as the opening to another podcast that i’m sure some of you have listened to before titled
Laser Time Podcast.

Stage Theme 1
This track is the first major theme in the game and is filled with some incredible intensity. After the small psychedelic intro, the track breaks into a beat driven frenzy and keeps this pace for the remainder of the song.

Stage Theme 2
With only two stage themes in the game, this track rounds out the majority of the music in Silver Surfer. It’s certainly different from the previous track, yet it still features a prominent level of vigour.
