Halo (Xbox)

Truth And Reconciliation, Brothers In Arms, Halo

Martin O’Donnell

The Halo series is easily the series that is most synonymous with the Xbox. The first game, Halo: Combat Evolved, was released for the original Xbox in 2001 and was one of the first first-person shooters to include many cinematic elements, such as a grand orchestral musical score. A remake was released in 2012 for the Xbox 360.

Truth And Reconciliation
Much like the entire soundtrack to the
Halo series, Truth And Reconciliation has a very cinematic feel to it. The track has sections of frantic sounds and percussions, mixed with moments of deep meaningfulness.

Brothers In Arms
This energetic and uplifting tune is one of the most driving tunes in Halo: Combat Evolved and features a great build up. The tune has a heavy beat backing with an abrupt ending, followed by a solo string section that closes the song out in a rather impactful way.

The song simply titled Halo has since become known as one of the prominent themes in the Halo series. There is a notable choir chant featured in this track and this specific sound is something that the series has come to be known for, musically.
